The Buckland Centre
The Buckland Centre is a Community Centre located on Gilbert Road on the Buckland estate in Newton Abbot, right next to Sandringham Park. The Centre offers a car park, as well as variety of rooms for hire and hosting a variety of Clubs and activities.
Free wifi is available on site. All the rooms have projection abilities and a projector is available on request. All rooms have kitchens attached or tea/coffee making facilities. We can provide a space for your conference or meeting.

Rooms to hire and facilities:
All our bookings are done via the online booking system. You can view room availability and see each space and its facilities below.
To book a space at The Buckland Centre, check the online booking box just below. You can select the room you want to hire and view the availability. When you click ‘view availability’ it will display the available bookings for the room. From here you can go ahead with booking online. Payment will be taken after we’ve received and confirmed your booking.

Standard hourly rate for all rooms:
£15 per hour

We offer a subsidised rate for local community groups, residents and local charities:

If 2 hours are booked, the third hour is free of charge (so 3 hours are £30.00)
What's on at The Buckland Centre?

We also have the Buckland Support Hub taking place every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon where local resident are welcome to come and seek advice and support on housing, debt and a variety of issues. See below for more details.

Events at Buckland Centre:
Easter Picnic in the Park
Monday 8th April, 1-3pm
Join us at The Buckland Centre for an Easter eggstravaganza! We'll provide a picnic lunch for free, and plenty of games and fun so all you need to do is pop along with a blanket and the family!
Buckland Support Hub
Tuesdays, 10am to 12noon at
The Buckland Centre.
Drop in for advice and help.
We work with the Buckland Support Charity to run a weekly drop in service to give the local community help at a time you might need it. We work with Citizens Advice, Teign Housing, One Small Step, Exeter Energy, Learn Devon to provide support with benefits, debt, housing issues, homelessness, loneliness, anxiety.

Other Buckland Hub Activities
As well as the hub, we also run other groups, open to all the community:
Baby and Toddler Group:
Tuesdays, 10am-12noon. Free to attend for all families living in TQ12 4 postcode. Join us for fun for children and a cup of tea or coffee.
Coffee Morning and Games:
Fridays, 9:30am-12noon. Come along for hot refreshments, games and a chat. Free to attend, and everyone welcome.
Gentle Exercise to Music
Tuesdays , 2-3pm. Sitting or standing, to tunes you'll know! Followed by optional tea/coffee and a chat. £3 a session, first class free!
Buckland Support Hub is able to run thanks to a grant from National Lottery Community Fund.
We received 4 years of funding to run the hub and provide support services and activities for the local community.

Story Sense Group
Thursdays from 9:15am (different sessions for different age groups)
Story Sense is an award-winning baby and toddler sensory and developmental classes based around unique stories written specifically for our sessions.
Sessions for babies from birth to walking, and from walking to school age.
The Centre is located next to Sandringham Park, close to Penn Inn Roundabout. When driving to the centre, ignore sat nav directions to come through the estate, and instead, when coming from Penn Inn Roundabout:
Follow up the hill as if heading to Combeinteignhead. Turn off at Haytor Drive, opposite Centrax and follow the road all the way down to the bottom without taking any turnings, and you'll arrive at the centre!
